Creamy Shrimp Pasta Recipe
Ingredients
For the pasta:

8 oz (225g) fettuccine or spaghetti

Water + salt for boiling
For the shrimp:

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ tsp paprika
-
Salt and pepper to taste
For the creamy sauce:

1 tbsp butter
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
¼ cup cream cheese (optional for extra creaminess)
-
½ cup chicken broth (or pasta water)
-
½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
-
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the pasta:

Bring salted water to a boil.

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Cook the shrimp:

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.

Add shrimp, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Sauté for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.

Remove shrimp and set aside.
3. Make the creamy sauce:

In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter.

Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth.

Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.

Add Parmesan cheese and cream cheese, whisking until smooth and thickened.

Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
4. Combine everything:

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.

Add shrimp back to the skillet and mix gently.

If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.

Serve hot with garlic bread or a fresh green salad.
